Suzlon to Develop 99 MW Wind Energy Project for Vibrant Energy
Suzlon Energy Ltd. has secured an order from Vibrant Energy to develop a wind power project of 99 MW capacity. This information was given by Suzlon in a stock filing dated 17th May 2023.
Scope of work for Suzlon includes the supply and installation of 33 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each of 3 MW capacity. Each of these WTGs will be supplied with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT)* tower.
This upcoming project is expected to be commissioned by FY25. Once commissioned, Suzlon will provide subsequent operations and maintenance services for this project.
Commenting on this development, Mr. Srinavasan Viswanathan, Chief Executive Officer of Vibrant Energy said, “We are happy to partner with Suzlon Energy Ltd. for our project which will provide round‐the‐clock renewable energy to our corporate customers”.
*A Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower is used to mount the wind turbine generator to the desired height. It consists of three components, namely a lattice tower, transition piece, and the tubular tower. The lattice tower is assembled on-site by welding steel profiles just above the foundation of the HLT tower, while the tubular tower forms the top part of the HLT tower. These two sections of the HLT tower are connected by means of a transition piece.
