Hitachi Energy Inaugurates its Third Factory in Karnataka

Hitachi Energy India Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of Hitachi Energy, has inaugurated its new factory in Bengaluru. This is the third Hitachi Energy factory in Karnataka, which has been developed with an investment of about Rs. 100 crore.

Hitachi Energy’s new factory is spread over 5,000 sq. metre and will be involved in the areas of power utilities, renewable energy, rail segments and other industrial segments. Currently, the company has 10,000 MVA of power quality products production capacity, which will be more than doubled to about 22,000 MVA with the addition of this new factory. Some of the products to be produced in this facility include capacitors and power electronic compensators, which will be used in low, medium and high voltage systems across various industries.

“Our new manufacturing unit will facilitate India’s energy transition to net zero and it supports the Make in India Initiative, strengthens our long-lasting presence in Karnataka”, Claudio Facchin, CEO, Hitachi Energy said while talking about the company’s newly inaugurated facility.
