Hindustan Zinc Reports Highest-Ever Mined and Refined Metal Production

Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), the world’s largest integrated zinc producer, has reported its highest-ever mined and refined metal production during FY-25. The company recorded mined metal output of 1,095 Kilo Tonnes and refined metal production of 1,052 Kilo Tonnes.

Breaking down the refined production figures, HZL produced 827 KT of Zinc and 225 KT of Lead during the fiscal year.

This mined metal output was primarily driven by improved ore grades and higher mill recovery rates. In Q4 of FY25, HZL recorded its highest-ever quarterly mined metal production, reaching 310 KT. Refined metal output also saw a notable increase during the quarter, rising to 270 KT, a 4% jump compared to the previous quarter. This growth was fuelled by enhanced plant availability and improved operational efficiency.
