HFCL Financial Results: FY22 PAT Increases 32.3% YoY to 325.86 Cr
Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited (HFCL) [NSE: HFCL, BOM: 500183], a major Indian Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) manufacturer, has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of FY-22.

HFCL reported a revenue of Rs 1182.98 crore for the fourth quarter of FY-22, which is 14.97% lower than its Rs 1391.40 crore revenue for the same period in FY-21.
The company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) for FY-22’s last quarter was Rs 68.13 crore, which also showed a 21.2% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) decline from its PAT of Rs 86.47 crore.
For the entire year, the company reported a revenue of Rs 4,727.11 crore during 2021-2022. This is a 6.87% increase from Rs 4,422.96 crore that the company reported as its revenue in 2020-2021. The PAT for FY22 also rose by 32.33% to Rs 325.86 crore, from Rs 246.24 crore during FY-21.

Comparison of the company’s financials for the third and the fourth quarter reveals a fall in both revenue as well as PAT.
While the reported revenue fell by 2.65% from Rs 1215.21 crore, PAT declined by 15.99% from Rs 81.10 crore since the third quarter of FY-22.

Talking about financial results, Mr Mahendra Nahata, Managing Director, HFCL said that the company’s performance has been consistent despite geopolitical, supply chain, input cost, and pandemic-related uncertainties. He added, “Steady technological strides, capacity additions, portfolio expansion and fiscal prudence adds predictability to our performance, as evident in our performance numbers.”
Regarding HFCL’s future plans, he said “HFCL is moving ahead with another round of CAPEX of Rs 425 crore, a healthy pipeline of next-gen products and solutions, accelerated stance of technological and R&D alliances and partnerships and resolute deepening and widening of its global footprints”.
