Finolex Cables Q3 FY26 Financials: Revenue Jumps 35.23% PAT Up 11.40%
Finolex Cables Ltd. [BSE: 500144, NSE: FINCABLES], a manufacturer of electrical and telecommunication cables, has recently released its financial results for Q3 FY26.

Finolex Cables reported that its standalone revenue for Q3 FY26 was Rs. 1,598.62 crore and its Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs. 135.97 crore.

YoY Comparison of Consolidated Revenue; Q3 FY26 vs. Q3 FY25
As per the reported financials, Finolex cables revenue for Q3 FY26 was Rs. 1,598.62 crore, a 35.23% increase Year-over-Year (YoY) against Q3 FY25’s revenue of Rs. 1,182.11 crore. Further, company’s PAT stood at Rs. 164.03 crore, representing a 11.40% increase from Q3 FY25’s PAT of Rs. 147.25 crore.
Meanwhile, Finolex Cables’ Earning Per Share (EPS) for Q3 FY26 was Rs. 10.73, which is a 11.42% increase from Q3 FY25’s EPS of Rs. 9.63.
QoQ Analysis of Consolidated Revenue; Q3 FY26 vs. Q2 FY26
Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) analysis highlights an increase of 16.20% in revenue from Q2 FY25’s revenue of Rs. 1,375.79 crore. As for PAT, a steady increase of 0.85% can be seen in Q3 FY26 compared to Q2 FY26’s PAT of Rs. 162.64 crore.

Electrical Cables business segment accounts for the majority of Finolex Cables’ Q3 FY26 revenue, the segment brought in 61.89% of company’s revenue. When this segment’s revenue in Q3 FY26 of Rs. 1,400.44 crore is compared to Q3 FY25’s revenue of Rs. 972.15 crore, we can observe an increase of 44.06% YoY.
Communication Cables business segment accounted for 5.43% of the company’s revenue in third quarter of FY26. Comparison of this segment revenue of Rs. 122.76 crore in Q3 FY26 with Q3 FY25’s revenue of Rs. 130.26 crore highlights a dip in revenue by 5.76% YoY.
Finolex Cables’ Copper Rods segment brought in 29.97% of the total revenue in Q3 FY26. In Q3 FY26, this segment reported a revenue of Rs. 678.20 crore against Q3 FY25’s revenue of Rs. 451.01 crore, highlighting an increase of 50.37% YoY.
Finolex Cables’ Other segments comprise switchgear, conduit pipes and Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG). When comparing the revenue brought in Q3 FY26 by this segment with Q3 FY25’s revenue of Rs. 63.02 crore, we can see a decrease of 2.57%. The company’s other segments were reported to have a revenue of Rs. 61.40 crore in Q3 FY26.
Management Insights: Optical Fibre and Ongoing Capacity Expansion
The company has ongoing expansion plans for preform factory and fibre draw towers. Currently, the preform factory is under production trials and is expected to be commissioned within FY26. In Phase 1 of development, capacity of the preform facility will be 100 Million Tonnes (MT)
As for the Fibre draw expansion, Mr. Mahesh Viswanathan, Deputy Managing Director of the company, noted that the building is more or less ready. Phase 1 equipment is already at site awaiting installation. This equipment will increase the fibre draw capacity from 4 million Fibre Kilometres (FKM) to 6 million FKM (a 2 million FKM capacity increase). Apart from this, another piece of equipment is expected by the end of March, which will add to the then-new capacity of 6 million FKM to 8 million FKM. The company is expected to reach 8 million FKM by end of Q1 FY27.
Speaking on Optical Fibre Cables, Mr. Mahesh Viswanathan said, “We are now seeing a reversal of that trend globally. Fibre prices are hardening.” He further added that the prices for Optical Fibre Cables are increasing from under $3 (during Q3 FY26 period) to almost $5, and he noted that the result of this rising demand will be seen in the coming quarters
