Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) had floated the tender for this project in March 2025, with a contract value of Rs. 1,503 crore.

According to the tender, the project is to be completed within 30 months.
The new Gurugram Metro Line targets to meet the city’s growing transportation needs. At present, Gurugram is served by the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line and the Rapid Metro. The upcoming line is expected to ease traffic congestion and provide metro connectivity to densely populated areas such as Sectors 9, 4, and 7, which are currently not part of the metro network.
