Delta Electronics Expands its Krishnagiri Facility in Tamil Nadu

Delta Electronics India will be expanding its Krishnagiri site in Tamil Nadu. The company’s Krishnagiri site is its major manufacturing hub and is spread across 95 acres.

Ground-Breaking of Two New Factory Buildings
Currently, the company’s Krishnagiri site has four factory buildings. The company has recently held the groundbreaking ceremony for two new factory buildings. After the completion of this expansion, Delta Electronics’ Krishnagiri site will have a total of six factory buildings.
The company’s Krishnagiri manufacturing site is a hub for production of power electronics, Electric Vehicle (EV) components and industrial automation solutions. Delta Electronics also produces DC brushless fans for industrial and commercial applications, components of telecom power systems, and data center infrastructure at Krishnagiri.
The addition of the two upcoming plants will further expand Delta’s production capacity to serve both domestic and international markets. With this expansion, the company targets to increase its workforce in Krishnagiri from 3,750 to 5,000 employees over the next three years.
New Manufacturing Line at Krishnagiri Site
Apart from breaking ground for the two new buildings, the company also inaugurated a new manufacturing line which incorporates Delta’s ‘Inline Management Solution Line Manager’, which is a system designed to enable automated production line changeovers and enables decision-making based on real-time data, thereby increasing efficiency of the line. According to Delta’s official press release, “This entire smart automation ecosystem has delivered up to 95% increase in productivity in the production of power supplies for home appliance applications”.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, said that the newly established smart manufacturing line reflects Delta’s strength in integrating industrial automation hardware and software, while also advancing eco-friendly production practices.
Sustainable Operations at Krishnagiri
In line with its sustainability commitments, currently Delta’s Krishnagiri site is powered by up to 53% renewable energy, which includes a 6.9 MWp solar rooftop installation and procurement of wind energy. The site’s water conservation efforts are supported by an 1,800 (Kiloliters per day) KLD water treatment plant and rainwater harvesting system. In addition, the facility follows Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)-certified waste management practices.
