Blue Star Secures Multiple Railway Contracts Worth Rs. 575 Cr.

Blue Star Limited has secured 4 railway electrification contracts worth a total of Rs. 575 crore. Two of these contracts are from Kota division of West Central Railway, while one contract each has been secured by the company from Central Organization for Railway Electrification (CORE) and Kolkata Metro.

From the Kota Section of West Central Railways, Blue Star has won one contract each for the Gangapur City-Ramganjmandi and Nagda-Kota sections. Scope of work in each of these contracts involves the development of a 132/55 KV traction substation, 2×25 KV sectioning posts (SPs) and sub-sectioning posts at the feeding system for these respective railway sections.

Blue Star’s order from CORE involves development of traction substations with SPs of 2×25 KV at feeding system in Pradhankanta-Manpur section of Dhanbad division, and Manpur-Deendayal Upadhyay section of East Central Railway. Subsequent testing and commissioning of this project also fall under the scope of this package.

From Kolkata Metro, the company has secured an order to design, supply, and develop 750 V DC (Direct Current) substation at Geetanjali and Esplanade. Following this, testing, commissioning and upgrading of power supply system will also be carried out. This contract also involves the renovation of Noapara traction substation.
