BHEL Partners with Thyssenkrupp Nucera India to Manufacture Electrolysers
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed an agreement with Thyssenkrupp Nucera India Private Limited to manufacture alkaline electrolysers in India, supporting the growth of green hydrogen projects across the country. The company shared this information in its press release dated 7th July 2026.
Thyssenkrupp Nucera India Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of Germany-based electrolysis technology company Thyssenkrupp Nucera AG & Co. KgaA.
Under the agreement, both companies target to support the expansion of green hydrogen projects in India through the domestic manufacturing of alkaline electrolysers. The partnership is also expected to strengthen the country’s domestic electrolyser supply chain and contribute to the development of India’s green hydrogen ecosystem.
However, the financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
