Bansal Wire Industries Outlines Major Capacity Expansion Plans

Bansal Wire Industries Limited has outlined expansion plans with an annual capital expenditure estimated between Rs. 150 crore and Rs. 200 crore. Through these expansions, the company targets to increase its manufacturing capacity from 6.8 lakh tons per annum to around 8.5 to 8.6 lakh tons per annum by the end of FY27.
Bansal Wire’s Dadri Plant Expansion to Drive Capacity Growth
Among the outlined plans, Bansal Wire’s Dadri plant will play a major role in increasing overall manufacturing capacity. The company inaugurated this plant in April 2025 and is now expanding the facility in phases. During FY26, Bansal Wire completed Phase 1 of the Dadri plant expansion by adding 1,20,000 tons of manufacturing capacity and is now moving ahead with Phase 2 of the project.
Under Phase 2 of the project, the company plans to add another 1,20,000 tons of manufacturing capacity by the end of FY27. This additional capacity will be utilised for the company’s existing product portfolio, which includes high-carbon steel wires, low-carbon wires, and speciality wires.
Bansal Wire to Add 90,000 Tons Manufacturing Capacity at Sanand Plant
Apart from the Dadri expansion, Bansal Wire Industries is also in the process of adding 90,000 tons of manufacturing capacity at its Sanand facility. This expansion is expected to be completed toward the end of FY27, and the company is likely to begin utilising the new capacity during FY28.
The development of the Sanand plant was announced by the company in January 2026.
Bansal Wire to Focus on Speciality and Value-Added Products
In addition to the ongoing expansion projects, Bansal Wire is also planning to increase manufacturing capacity for speciality and value-added products. The company plans to invest between Rs. 2,000 crore and Rs. 2,500 crore over the next five to seven years for these initiatives.
The company is also expanding its Induction Hardened & Tempered (IHT) wire production capacity, launched in October 2025. According to Mr. Bansal, Phase I is currently ramping up in line with plans, while under Phase II, the company will add 6,000 tons of additional capacity to the existing 9,000 tons.
Additionally, by the end of FY26, Bansal Wire Industries Limited has started manufacturing Low Relaxation Pre-Stressed Concrete (LRPC) wire with an initial production capacity of 18,000 tons.
