Apollo Micro Systems Ltd. will be investing Rs. 150 crore to set up a defence equipment manufacturing facility at Hardware Park in Hyderabad. The company shared this information in its stock filing dated 2nd October 2023.
Apollo’s upcoming facility will cover an area of about 3,00,000 square feet and manufacture various defence equipment such as Radio Frequency (RF) Systems, Inertial Systems, and equipment for Space Applications. The facility will be equipped with environmental test facilities including Electromagnetic interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) facilities. A test facility will also be established for the testing of navigational systems like Inertial Navigation System (INS), Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and Attitude and Heading Reference system (AHRS).
Work on the facility is expected to be complete in 9 months.
