Apar Q2 FY-25 Financials: Revenue Up 18%, PAT Grows 11% YoY

Apar Industries Limited [NSE: APARINDS, BOM: 532259], an Indian manufacturer of cables, conductors and speciality oils, has announced its financial results for Q2 FY-25.

Apar Industries reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 4,315.58 crore for Q2 of FY-25 and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 177.78 crore for the same period.

YoY Comparison of Apar’s Financials: Q2 FY-25 vs. Q2 FY-24

On an Year-over-Year (YoY) basis, the company’s top line grew by 18.41% to Rs. 4,644.51 crore during Q2 FY-25 from its Rs. 3,922.25 crore revenue for Q2 of FY-24. Following the same upward trend, Apar’s Q2 PAT was up by 11.22% YoY, growing to Rs. 193.38 crore in FY-25 from Rs. 173.87 crore during FY-24.
Correspondingly, the company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) increased to Rs. 48.27 during Q2 of FY-25 from Rs. 45.43 during Q2 of FY-24.

QoQ Results Analysis for Apar Industries: Q2 FY-25 vs. Q1 FY-25
Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ), Apar’s revenue from operations jumped by 15.81% from Rs. 4,010.52 crore, which was logged during Q1 of FY-25. However, the company’s PAT fell QoQ by 4.52% from Rs. 202.54 crore, which was earned during first quarter of FY-25.

Conductors: The company’s revenue from this segment jumped to Rs. 2,298.81 crore during Q2 of FY-25 against Rs. 1,943.25 crore in Q2 of FY-24. This increase in numbers showed a YoY growth of 18.30% in the company’s quarterly Conductors segment revenue.
During the company’s earnings call for Q2 FY-25 financials, Mr. Kushal Desai, Chairman and Managing Director of Apar Industries, said that exports of conductors contributed 18.7% to the company’s overall revenue during Q2 of FY-25. He also said that conductor business is the largest business vertical of the company.
Transformer & Speciality Oils: The Transformer & Speciality Oils segment of the company contributed Rs. 1,339.27 crore to the company’s total revenue during Q2 of FY-25 against Rs 1,194.90 crore in Q2 of FY-24. This shows a growth of 12.08% on YoY basis.
Mr. Desai mentioned that exports of transformer & Speciality Oils accounted for 44.9% of the company’s total revenue during Q2 of FY-25.
Power/Telecom Cables: Apar Industries’ segmental revenue from Power/Telecom Cable business increased by 39.02% to Rs. 1,226.55 crore reported for Q2 FY-25 against Rs. 882.26 crore during Q2 of FY-24.
Mentioning the exports of the company’s Power/Telecom Cables, Mr. Desai said “So export mix for our cable division was 29% in Q2 FY ’25 as against 45% in Q2 FY ’24”.
Apar Industries’ Order Inflow and Order Book During Q2 FY-25
During Apar Industries’ earnings call, Mr. Desai said that the company reported a total order inflow of Rs. 2,234 crore during Q2 of FY-25. He said “….domestic business has remained quite strong with an increased order inflow across all our business verticals in this quarter”.
Mr. Kushal Desai mentioned that Apar Industries’ pending order book stood at Rs. 6,615 crore as on 30th September 2024.
