Amul, an Indian dairy cooperative society has planned to set up a milk processing facility in Telangana with an investment of ₹ 500 crore. The plant will be located in a special food processing zone in Telangana.
Amul will invest Rs 300 crore in Phase-I and the remaining Rs 200 crore in Phase-II.
Initially the plant will process 5 lakh litre a day, and shall have a provision to expand the processing capacity to 10 lakh litre a day.
The plant is expected to provide direct employment to over 500 people.
