Ambuja Cements Crosses 100 MT Production Capacity, Targets 118 MT Capacity by FY-26
Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Group, has crossed 100 Million Tonner Per Annum (MTPA) of production capacity following a series of acquisitions over the past two years. The company is further planning to increase its annual production capacity to 118 Million Tonnes (MT) by the end of FY-26.
Mr. Vinod Bahety, CEO of Ambuja Cements, said “We have multiple organic expansions underway across India, which will support our objective of reaching 118 MTPA by the end of FY26”. The Adani Group is targetting a total cement production capacity of 140 MTPA by 2028. The group’s expansion plan includes inorganic growth through acquisitions and brownfield projects to increase production at its existing facilities. Adani Cement recently completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Orient Cement.
Other major acquisitions of the company include acquisition of Sanghi Industries Ltd. (SIL) in December 2023. Ambuja Cements had signed an agreement in April 2024 for acquiring My Home Group’s 1.5 Million Metric Tonne Per Annum (MMTPA) cement grinding unit located in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu
