Orient Electric reported revenue of Rs. 949.76 crore in Q1 FY27. Year-over-Year (YoY) comparison of Q1 FY27’s revenue with Q1 FY26’s revenue of Rs. 769.08 crore highlighted a healthy growth of 23.49%. Meanwhile, the company reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 31.49 crore in Q1 FY27, a robust growth of 79.73% YoY from Q1 FY26’s PAT of Rs. 17.52 crore.
Moreover, Orient Electric’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) for Q1 FY27 stood at Rs. 1.48.
QoQ Comparison of Orient Electric’s Financials: Q1 FY27 vs. Q4 FY26
Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) comparison of company’s revenue in Q1 FY27 with previous quarter’s revenue of Rs. 948.25 crore showcased a marginal increase of 0.16%. In contrast, Q1 FY27’s PAT went down by 21.82% QoQ when compared to Q4 FY26’s PAT of Rs. 40.28 crore.
Orient Electric’s Segment-Wise Performance: Q1 FY27 vs. Q1 FY26
Electrical Consumer Durables: In Q1 FY27, ECD segment brought in revenue of Rs. 668.74 crore, an increase of 22.70% YoY from Q1 FY26’s revenue of Rs. 545 crore.
Lighting & Switchgear: Company’s revenue in Lightning & Switchgear segment increased 25.41% YoY to Rs. 281.02 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs. 224.08 crore reported in Q1 FY26.
In its investor presentation for Q1 FY27, Orient Electric mentioned that in its Lightning & Switchgear segment, wires and switchgear & switches categories continued to show accelerated growth. Also, while not giving any specific numbers, the company highlighted that its wires category doubled in revenue.
