Bharat Dynamics Wins Rs. 1,347 Cr. Defence Orders from HAL

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU), has won orders worth Rs. 1,347.71 crore for supplying defence equipment to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

As per the newly won orders, Bharat Dynamics will be responsible for supplying Helina Launchers and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) collectively valued at Rs. 1,109.37 crore to Hindustan Aeronautics.

The Helina Launcher is primarily integrated with the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and is designed to destroy enemy armoured vehicles. The system relies on Line Replaceable Units, which connect the helicopter’s targeting systems with the missile, ensuring accurate guidance.

In addition, the company will supply Counter Measures Dispensing System (CMDS) Line Replaceable Units worth Rs. 238.34 crore. CMDS is an airborne self-protection system that deploys defensive decoys such as flares and chaff to safeguard aircraft against incoming missile and radar-guided threats.

Bharat Dynamics is expected to complete the execution of these orders within 24 to 60 months. The company will be responsible for complete manufacturing and supplying of the equipment, although it has not disclosed the location where the production will take place.
