Sterlite Electric Secures its First Cable Export Order from Sri Lanka
Sterlite Electric Limited, formerly known as Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, has secured its first cable export order from Sri Lanka. The order has been awarded by National Transmission Network Service Provider Pvt. Ltd. (NTNSP), marking the company’s entry into Sri Lankan Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable market.
Under the contract, Sterlite Electric will supply single-core (1C) 630 sq. mm. cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated power cables for a substation project in Colombo.
Highlighting the importance of this order win, the company mentioned on its social media platform, “As we continue to expand our global power cable business, each new market and delivery strengthens our journey towards enabling reliable power infrastructure and Electrification Everywhere.”
The export order is expected to support Sri Lanka’s power transmission infrastructure while further enhancing Sterlite Electric’s footprint in overseas markets.
