Panasonic Life Solutions Launches Electron Beam Wire Range
Panasonic Life Solutions India Private Limited (formerly known as Anchor Electricals), a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Holdings Corporation, has launched a new range of Panasonic Electron Beam Cross-Linked (EBXL) wires.
The company has launched these wires in Bengaluru and will initially be available in selected markets. With time, these wires will be rolled out across India in a phased manner. However, the company did not mention any investment made for this launch.
EBXL Wires Meet Safety and Compliance Standards
Panasonic Life Solutions’ newly launched EBXL wire is a 90-meter wire range. These are compliant with IS 17048 standards and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) standards. IS 17048 is an Indian Standard that specifies the requirements for Halogen-Free Flame Retardant (HFFR) cables used for working voltages up to 1,100 volts.
These wires provide electrical safety through cross-linkable HFFR insulation and are processed using Electron Beam technology.

Key Features of Panasonic’s EBXL Wire Range
EBXL wire range offers higher insulation resistance, which reduces the chances of electrical leakage and short circuits. These wires offer a 33% oxygen index for higher flame retardancy, up to 75% higher current-carrying capacity and 95% visibility during fire events.
The copper used in these EBXL wires from Panasonic will make use of 99.97% pure copper sourced from Japan.

In addition to the newly launched EBXL wire, Panasonic Life Solutions’ product portfolio includes building wires, industrial and irrigation cables, and communication cables. The company manufactures various types of wires & cables, including Flame Retardant (FR) wires, multi-core cables, 3-core flat submersible cables, Anchor telephone and switchboard cables, and CAT 6 LAN cables.
Panasonic Life Solutions India operates several manufacturing plants across India, specializing in Electrical Construction Materials (ECM) such as switches, wiring devices, switchgear, wires, and lighting. The company has manufacturing plants in Sri City, Daman, Gujarat, and Haridwar.
