Surya Roshni Inaugurates New Wires & Cables Plant in MP
Surya Roshni Limited, an Indian multinational headquartered in Delhi, has formally inaugurated its new wires and cables manufacturing facility in Malanpur, Madhya Pradesh. Development of this plant was announced by the company in May 2025. The inauguration ceremony was performed in the presence of Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia.
Surya Roshni’s Malanpur plant marks the company’s entry into the wire manufacturing sector. Surya Roshni manufactures its Turbo Flex series of wires, which includes two variants, Turbo Flex – Flame Retardant (FR) and Turbo Flex Green – Flame Retardant Low Smoke and Halogen (FRLSH). Both these variants are tested and rated for 1.1KV. According to a report by Mordor Intelligence, Indian Wire And Cable Market size is estimated at USD 21.22 billion in 2025, and is expected to reach USD 32.85 billion by 2030, growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 9.13%. Therefore, Surya Roshni’s entry into the cables and wires segment comes as a natural move.
Commenting on the inauguration of this new plant, Mr. JP Agarwal, Chairman, Surya Roshni Ltd., said, “This new facility will help us produce high-quality wires & cables that are essential for building strong and reliable electrical infrastructure across India and will create more opportunities locally”.
The company started manufacturing wires at this plant in August 2025.
