Sanjeev Kumar Sinha Hindustan Copper’s New Director of Operations

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sinha has been appointed as Hindustan Copper Ltd.’s new Director (Operations), with effect from 9th March 2025. Dr. Sinha will serve this position for a tenure of 5 years.

Dr. Sinha completed BE in Mining from Nagpur University in 1997, and thereafter he did MBA in HR from IGNOU. Dr. Sinha earned his doctorate in mining from IIT Dhanbad (formerly Indian School of Mines).

Dr. Sinha has had over 25 years of experience at National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC). Prior to joining Hindustan Copper Ltd., Dr. Sinha was the Head of Mine Planning and Chief of Internal Safety Organization at NMDC. Dr. Sinha has been key in shaping NMDC’s plan to achieve 100 Million Metric Tonne Per Annum (MMTPA) of Iron Ore production by 2030. He is also a member of the Mining Engineers’ Association of India (MEAI).
