Polycab’s Q3 FY-25 Revenue Up 20% YoY; FMEG Shows 43% Growth

Polycab India Ltd. (PIL) [NSE: POLYCAB, BOM: 542652], a leading Indian manufacturer of cables and wires, has announced its financial results for Q3 of FY-25.
Commenting on the company’s financial results, Mr. Inder T. Jaisinghani, Chairman and Managing Director, Polycab India Ltd., said “We are thrilled to announce that we have concluded 2024 [CY] on a robust note, achieving our highest-ever revenues for both the third quarter and the nine-month period. This outstanding performance was driven by strong growth across all segments”.

Polycab India reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 5,105.25 crore for Q3 of FY-25 and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 452.96 crore for the same period.

On Year-over-Year (YoY) basis, the company’s revenue increased by 20.40% to Rs. 5,226.06 crore during Q3 of FY-25 from Rs. 4,340.47 crore in Q3 of FY-24. Polycab India’s PAT jumped to Rs. 464.35 crore during Q3 of FY-25, representing a YoY growth of 11.49% from Rs. 416.51 crore PAT reported for Q3 of FY-24.

Earnings Per Share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs. 30.42 during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 27.50 for Q3 FY-24.
QoQ Analysis of Polycab’s Financial Results: Q3 FY-25 vs. Q2 FY-25
Polycab India’s top-line decreased QoQ by 4.95% from Rs. 5,498.42 crore reported during Q2 of FY-25. However, the company’s PAT jumped by 4.29% from Rs. 445.21 crore profit earned by Polycab during Q2 of FY-25.
Polycab India’s Segment-Wise Revenue Comparison

Wires & Cables: The company’s revenue from this segment jumped to Rs. 4,384.63 crore during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 3,904.10 crore in Q3 of FY-24. This increase in numbers showed a YoY growth of 12.31% in the company’s quarterly Wires & Cables segment revenue.
In Q3 FY-25, the Wires & Cables segment accounted for 82.63% of the company’s gross revenue*.
*Gross revenue refers to the sum of segmental revenues before the deduction of inter-segmental revenue.
FMEG: The Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) segment of the company contributed Rs. 423.18 crore to the company’s total revenue during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 296.18 crore in Q3 of FY-24. This shows a growth of 42.88% on YoY basis.
The company mentioned in its press release dated 22nd January 2025 that strong growth was observed across all major product categories in the FMEG segment. Switchgear, conduit pipes, and fittings, and switches experienced healthy growth, which was fueled by continued demand from the real estate sector during Q3 of FY-25.
Other: Polycab’s ‘other’ segment mainly consists of its EPC business. The company’s revenue from this segment stood at Rs. 498.50 crore in Q3 of FY-25 which is 2.01 times the company’s Q3 FY-24 revenue of Rs. 247.50 crore.
