L&T Wins Rs. 1,242 Cr. Construction Contract for Agra Metro
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a construction contract for Agra Metro Phase-1’s Line-2. This construction work will be executed under package AGCC-07 at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,242.79 crore.
Scope of work under this metro rail package includes designing and constructing the entire 15.09 Km long elevated viaduct for Line-2 of Agra Metro, along with 14 elevated metro stations from Agra Cantonment to Kalindi Vihar. These stations will be developed at Agra Cantt., Sadar Bazar, Pratap Pura, Collectorate, Agra College, Hariparvat Chauraha, Sanjay Place, M.G. Road, Sultanganj crossing, Kamla Nagar, Ram Bagh, Foundary Nagar, Agra Mandi & Kalindi Vihar. Architectural finishings, sanitary installations, Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) works, water supply, and other associated works for Line-2 of Agra Metro Phase-1 project will also be executed.
Apart from the main metro line (Agra Metro Line-2), a 530-m-long viaduct for entry and exit from Agra Metro Line-2’s depot at Kalindi Vihar will be constructed in this order. AGCC-07 also entails construction of a 2.61 Km long viaduct linking Sadar Bazar Metro Station to Agra Metro Line 1’s depot at PAC Ground.
Tender for this package was floated by Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited in December 2023, which had specified a completion period of 24 months.
