3,664.96 Cr Contracts for Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway go to NKC Projects, PNC Infratech, GR Infraprojects

NKC Projects Private Limited, PNC Infratech Limited and GR Infraprojects Limited (GRIL) have been declared lowest bidders (L1) for construction under packages 1, 2, 3 & 7 of Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata expressway project. The collective worth of these packages is Rs. 3,664.96 crore. NKC has won package 1, PNC has won packages 2 & 3 and GRIL has won package 7 of this expressway project.

Scope of work in package 1 includes construction of a 27 Km stretch of highway from Varanasi ring road to Chandauli-Chainpur road. The estimated cost for development of this package is Rs. 868.91 crore.

Scope of work in package 2 involves construction of a 27 Km span of highway from Chandauli-Chainpur road to Bhabhua-Adhaura road. Package 3 of this project involves the construction of a 36 Km-stretch of the highway from Bhabhua-Adhaura road to Konki village. These packages will be developed at a cost of Rs. 795.05 crore and Rs. 985.01 crore respectively.

Package 7 of this project entails the construction of a 33.2 Km span of highway from Anarbansalea village to Sagrampur village at a cost of Rs. 1015.99 crore.

This project will be executed under Bharatmala Pariyojna (BMP) program.
