35 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant to be Setup in West Bengal

On 17th June 2021, National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA), and Maheshtala Waste Water Management have signed a tripartite concession agreement to develop 35 MLD sewage treatment plant.

The proposed 35 MLD sewage treatment plant will be developed in Maheshtala, West Bengal on hybrid annuity PPP mode under Namami Gange Programme.

The project will include building four pumping stations, MPS of 35 MLD, EPS of 35 MLD, six diversion structures, 5,989 nos. laying of rising mains and 1,145 meter of repair and rehabilitation of gravity sewer.

The project has an operation and maintenance period of 15 years.
