ZR Power Holdings to Develop Rs. 1,700 Cr Data Centre in Navi Mumbai
Telangana-based energy firm, ZR Power Holdings is planning to invest Rs. 1,700 crore in the development of a data centre at Mahape in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. This data centre will be of 50 MW capacity and will be operational by mid-2024. The company is in the process of acquiring a 10-acre land parcel for the project.
ZR Power Holdings had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Government in December 2021 for the development of two data centres with a collective investment of Rs. 1,200 crore. One of these was to come up at Pune with Rs. 400 crore investment, while the other was to be developed in Navi Mumbai with Rs. 800 crore investment.
The company has since then up-scaled its investment with its new plan for a single, bigger data centre at Mahape instead of developing two smaller data centres as per the original MoU.
