Wipro Electronics to Begin Operations at Rs. 500 Cr. PCB Manufacturing Unit in 9 Months
Wipro Electronics will commence operations at its under-construction Rs. 500 crore Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing unit in Doddaballapura, Bengaluru North, within the next nine months. This information was shared by Mr. Neeraj Pandit, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wipro Electronics, on 19th November 2025 at the 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit.
According to Mr. Pandit, construction of Wipro Electronics’ plant will be completed in six months, after which production is expected to begin within the following 3 months.
This development holds significant importance as India’s electronics sector depends on imports for about 80-85% of its semiconductor and PCB requirements. As per IMARC Group, In 2024, Indian PCB market was estimated at USD 6.4 billion, and is experiencing rapid growth. By 2032-33, this market is projected to reach USD 21.3 to USD 24.7 billion, with a CAGR of around 15.5–16.4%. The growth is driven by rising demand from consumer electronics, automotive and telecom sectors, along with government initiatives such as Make in India and Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing.
