Wago India, the electrical and cable accessories manufacturer has announced the launch of its 221 Series Inline Splicing Connector. This connector would be suitable for all conductor types from 0.2 to 4 mm².

Wago’s 221 Series Inline Connector with Lever

Wago has introduced the new 221 Series Inline Splicing Connector with lever technology to connect two conductors in series. This eliminates the need to use crimping tool to connect two cables.

Wago is also providing option to choose number of poles (connectors) with a maximum of 5 poles in one adapter.

Mounting options include DIN-rails with a snap-in mounting foot, screw mounting, adhesive mounting, tie-on mounting or suspended mounting.

There are two variants of the inline splicing connector available, both with EN and UL approvals: one version has a transparent cover for conductor cross-sections from 0.2 to 4 mm² for all standard applications. The other version has a white cover.

Applications of Wago 221 Series Connectors

Wago claims that the 221 Series connectors have a slim design which minimizes dimensions for installation in tight spaces. Such applications may include distribution boxes in industrial applications, laboratory and test setups, production test bays, lighting connection in suspended ceilings, extending loudspeaker cables etc.
