TRIL Q1 FY-25 Financials: Revenue Grows 2x YoY, Company Reports Rs. 20.83 Cr. PAT

TRIL’s revenue jumped to Rs. 322 crore during Q1 of FY-25, which is 2.07 times the company’s Q1 FY-24 revenue of Rs. 155.57 crore. Further, during Q1 FY-25, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) clocked Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 20.83 crore against loss of Rs. 12.21 crore reported by the company for Q1 of FY-24.

TRIL’s Earning Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 1.40 during Q1 of FY-25 and the company’s loss per share was Rs. 0.95 in Q1 of FY-24.

QoQ Analysis of TRIL’s Financial Numbers: Q1 FY-25 vs. Q4 FY-24

On Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, the company’s revenue fell by 37.20% from Rs. 512.70 crore revenue earned by the company during Q4 of FY-24. Following suit, TRIL’s QoQ PAT also slumped by 49.95% from Rs. 41.62 crore profit recorded for last quarter of FY-24.

TRIL’s Stock Price Falls Over 4% After Announcing Q1 FY-25 Financials

Post Announcement of Transformers and Rectifiers’ Q1 FY-25 financials results, the company’s share price saw a significant drop of 4.32%. The company’s share price stood at Rs. 715.50 apiece on the day of announcement of its financial results and Rs. 747.80 apiece on the previous trading day.

Furthermore, TRIL’s volume of share trades stood at Rs. 1,97,000 trades after the announcement of results and 2,30,000 trades on the previous trading day.

Transformers & Rectifiers Records Order Inflow of Nearly 700 Cr. During Q1 FY-25

During the company’s earnings call for its Q1 FY-25 financial results, Mr. Chanchal Rajora, CFO and Advisor of TRIL said that the company reported new order inflow of Rs. 698 crore during Q1 of FY-25. He further added that TRIL secured its first order for 4 Static synchronous Compensator (STATCOM)* transformers from an Indian company.

*STATCOM Transformers are used to provide or absorb reactive current thus regulating voltage at point of connection to the grid.

Mr. Rajora further said “Our unexecuted order book as of 30th June 2024 stands at Rs. 2,926 crores. Currently, we have inquiries about 17,500 crores under negotiation and meeting stage”.
