TRIL Announces FY-24 Financial Results: Revenue Down 7%, PAT 11% Higher

Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd. (TRIL) [NSE: TRIL, BOM: 532928], a company based in Gujarat specializing in transformer manufacturing, has announced its financial performance for the quarter and financial year ended 31st March 2024.

TRIL’s Standalone Financial Figures: Q4 FY-24 & FY-24

Transformers and Rectifiers clocked a standalone revenue of Rs. 500.28 crore from operations during Q4 of FY-24. The company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) during this period stood at Rs. 35.65 crore.

Considering the entire financial year, TRIL reported a standalone topline of Rs. 1,273.31 crore and a PAT of Rs. 41.11 crore.

It is interesting to note that the company’s Q4 FY-24 revenue accounted for over 39% of TRIL’s revenue for the entire 2023-24 financial year. Moreover, TRIL’s PAT for Q4 of FY-24 was 86.72% of the company’s total PAT clocked during the entire FY-24.

The company’s Earning Per Share (EPS) for Q4 of FY-24 stood at Rs. 2.50, and at Rs. 3 for entire fiscal year 2024.

TRIL reported a consolidated revenue of Rs. 512.70 crore during Q4 FY-24, marking an increase of 16.96% YoY from Rs. 438.35 crore recorded during Q4 of FY-23. Correspondingly, PAT during Q4 of FY-24 surged to Rs. 41.62 crore which is 4.34 times the company’s Q4 FY-23 profit of Rs. 9.60 crore.

Considering the full financial year, In FY-24 TRIL recorded a top line of Rs. 1,294.68 crore, thus exhibiting a decrease of 7.26% YoY from Rs. 1,395.97 crore in FY-23. However, the company’s FY-24 PAT of Rs. 47.01 crore was 11% higher than its FY-23 PAT of Rs. 42.35 crore.

Moreover, the company’s Q4 FY24 EPS stood at Rs. 2.80. For the entire 2023-24 fiscal, Transformers and Rectifier India’s EPS was reported as Rs. 3.24.

TRIL’s revenue from operations saw a notable increase of 38.81% from Rs. 369.35 crore reported in Q3 FY-24. Further, TRIL’s PAT displayed a remarkable growth QoQ, with Q4 profit jumping to 2.65 times of the company’s Q3 PAT in FY-24, which stood at Rs. 15.72 crore.

TRIL’s Order Inflow Exceeds 2,000 Cr. during FY-24

During the company’s earnings call for its FY-24 financial results, Mr. Satyen Mamtora, Managing Director of TRIL said that there was an inflow of orders worth Rs. 2,050 crore during FY-24, 11% of which were export orders. He added that this marks TRIL’s highest-ever order inflow.

Mr. Mamtora added, “We are happy with our order book position and the various orders that we received during the year across sectors catering to solar power plants, private sector industries, metro projects, railways, power utilities…The unexecuted order book (UOB) as on 31st March 2024 totals to Rs. 2,582 crores; 72% growth v/s FY23 to be executed over the execution cycle of approximately 15 months”.
