TRIL Achieves Highest-Ever Transformer Production; Order Book of more than 1400 Cr.

Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd (TRIL) has achieved its highest-ever transformer production of nearly 26,000 MVA (Mega Volt Ampere) in FY 2021-22. In a stock exchanges filing, TRIL said that transformer production in FY22 was 25,936 MVA, which is the highest ever annual production in the company’s history.

Major Highlights of TRIL’s Financial Results FY 2021-22

TRIL in its final results for the year ended March 31, 2022, has reported total income of Rs.1171.59 crores, an increase of 55.86% as compared to Rs. 751.68 crores during the Financial Year ended March 31, 2021.

In its investor presentation the company informed that sales of transformers in physical terms grew by 11.64% to reach 22,967 MVA in FY22 from 20,572 MVA in FY21.

In terms of value, TRIL informed that power utilities accounted for 51% of the company’s transformer sales in FY22, as against 47% in FY21.

The company’s export sales also increased from Rs.98 crore in FY21 to Rs. 209 crore in FY22.

TRIL’s Order Book touches Rs. 1400 Crore

Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd. (TRIL) on 10th June 2022 informed that it has been awarded orders for supply of transformers for total contract value of Rs.186 crore from an undisclosed state power utility. While no more details were specified in the stock filing, the company clarified that these orders fall under the normal course of business.

With this, the company’s order book as of date (June 10, 2022) stands at Rs.1482 crore.

In an earlier communication, TRIL had said that as of March 31, 2022, the company had an order book position of Rs.1148 crore. In addition, TRIL has participated in the bidding process of State and Central utilities for supplying equipment worth over Rs.1,000 crore, the company said.
