Titagarh Wagons Subsidiary Gets Rs. 2,380 Crore Train-set Order from Italian Rail Network
Titagarh Firema (TFA), a subsidiary of Titagarh Wagons (West Bengal based wagon manufacturer) has signed an agreement worth EUR 282 million, equivalent to Rs. 2,380 crore approximately with Italy’s Roma-Lido di Ostia and Roma Viterbo railway network.
The agreement is for design, manufacture, supply and 10 years of maintenance for 38 trainsets of Metro for Lazio Regione, Italy. Titagarh Firema will have to supply three different trainset configurations- the six cars metro for the Roma Lido di Ostia line and the four cars, either metro and commuter for the Roma Viterbo line.
The company said that the new train-sets will be compliant with latest norms for safety and will offer modern design and improved comfort to passengers.
