Titagarh Rail Systems Secures Rs. 313 Cr. Wagon Supply Contract

Titagarh Rail Systems Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Ministry of Railways for the supply of wagons. This contract has been valued at Rs. 312.69 crore.

Under this contract, Titagarh will manufacture and supply 780 BVCM-C wagons. These wagons are used for transporting commodities like coal and bulk materials, ensuring safe and efficient freight movement. The delivery is expected to be completed within nine months from the date of winning the contract. As per the company’s official stock filing, this entire contract is domestic, meaning both manufacturing and supply will be carried out within India.

Earlier in July, Titagarh Rail Systems leased 40 acres of land from the West Bengal government for Rs. 126.63 crore for a tenure of 99 years. The land, located in the mouzas of Kotrung and Bhadrakali, will be used to expand the company’s production infrastructure, including dedicated zones for forming, testing, and commissioning of metro coaches and Vande Bharat trains.
