TARIL Launches 245 KV Transformer Bushings for Backward Integration

Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TARIL], earlier acronymed as TRIL, has announced that it has started manufacturing high voltage transformer bushings.

TARIL in a stock exchange filling informed that it has launched 245 KV high-voltage bushings, which are used in manufacturing of high voltage transformers.

The new 245 KV bushings will be manufactured at the company’s Changodar plant in Ahmedabad by TARIL Switchgear Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd.

TARIL Switchgear will be manufacturing two variants of the 245 KV bushings, namely air-to-oil and oil-to-oil. The filling also mentioned that 245 KV high voltage bushings undergo rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest level of excellence which refers to the company’s focus on providing a quality product.

TARIL Focusing on Backward Integration

During its investor presentation of Q3 FY-25, Mr. Jitendra Mamtora, Chairman of TRIL said that TRIL is concentrating on backward integration after acquiring majority stake in Posco Poggenamp Electrical Steel Pvt. Limited, which manufactures Cold Rolled Grain Oriented Steel (CRGO). CRGO Steel is one of the major raw materials required for manufacturing transformers.

Manufacturing of high-voltage bushings by TARIL Switchgear Pvt Ltd will also be instrumental in achieving full backward integration.
