Sterlite Power Completes Gurgaon Palwal Transmission Project
Sterlite Power has announced successful commissioning of Gurgaon Palwal Transmission Project in state of Haryana. The project has been executed for Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPNL) to supply 2,000 MW power to more than three million households in Haryana. It will enhance power connectivity in Gurugram and Palwal region.
Scope of work consisted of four 400 kV double circuit transmission lines with total length of 143 km, three gas insulated substations (GIS) at Prithla, Kadarpur and Sohna road with two bay extensions at Dhanonda. The company had secured the project through tariff-based competitive bidding process and executed it under the build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) model. The total cost of the project stands at Rs 1,027 crore.
