Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Appoints Chandra Kishore Thakur As Global CEO
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd. has appointed Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur as Global Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Mr. Thakur completed Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur and went on to earn Master of Business Administration degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He also completed Advance Diploma in Program Management from Asian Institute of Management.
Mr. Chandra Kishore started his career with NTPC in 1997 and reached the position of Deputy General Manager (Project Planning and Monitoring) after working for over nine years in the organisation. Thereafter, he joined Lanco, as Vice President and also served as COO of the company’s EPC vertical. He also worked as President and CEO of Punj Lloyd Ltd.’s Infrastructure and Power Business for over three years. Later in 2018, Mr. Thakur joined Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy as Chief Operating Officer of the company’s International Solar Business.
Before being promoted to the role of Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy’s Global Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Thakur was working as CEO of the company’s business in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
