Sterling & Wilson RE Wins Two Solar Orders Collectively Worth Rs. 512 Cr.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has won two solar power orders collectively worth Rs. 512 crore from Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in the private sector. This information was shared by the company in its press release dated 24th September 2024.

One of these orders include Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) works on a 200 MW solar power plant in Gujarat. The second order is for development of a 50 MW solar power project in Maharashtra. Commenting on these order wins, Mr. Amit Jain, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, said “Both orders have been received from repeat clients thereby reaffirming our robust execution credentials. In the current year, out of the 6 major domestic orders received, 5 are from our existing clients showing the confidence customers have reposed in us to be a part of their growth in the domestic renewable market”.

Earlier in August 2024, Sterling & Wilson had won an order for development of 400 MW solar power plant in Rajasthan at an estimated cost of over Rs. 550 crore.

During SWREL’s earnings call for its Q1 FY-25 financials, Mr. Jain said that the company’s unexecuted order book stands at Rs. 9,396 crore with about 71% of it contributed by domestic orders.
