SJVN Green Energy Ltd. (SGEL) has signed an agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the development of a 200 MW wind project in India. SGEL will develop this project on Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,400 crore.
SGEL has won 200 MW capacity at a tariff rate of Rs. 3.24 per unit. This upcoming project is expected to be commissioned by November 2025. SJVN Green Energy has won this project through SECI’s Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for selecting wind power developers for setting-up 1,200 MW grid-connected wind power projects in India. This upcoming 200 MW project is expected to generate 482 million units of power in first year after commissioning and a total of 12,050 million units of power over a period of 25 years.
