SJVN Secures 100 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has secured a 100 MW grid-connected solar project in Gujarat. SJVN got this project through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB), which was conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

The tentative cost of the project is Rs. 500 crore, and it will generate 245.28 Million Units of energy annually. GUVNL will acquire the energy generated by the project for a period of 25 years, and the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the same shall be signed shortly. Cumulatively in these 25 years, the project will generate approximately 6,132 Million Units of energy.

SJVN has a total power generation capacity of more than 16,900 MW. Power generation capacity of 3,065 MW from twelve solar projects which are in various stages of completion.
