Schneider Electric to Invest Rs. 300 Cr. for New Manufacturing Unit
Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of France-based Schneider Electric SE, will be investing about Rs. 300 crore to set up its new manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana.
This facility will be Schneider Electric India’s second manufacturing unit in Telangana, and it will be situated on an 18-acre land plot in Hyderabad’s GMR Industrial Park. As per Schneider Electric, this new unit will produce various power products, 75% of which will be manufactured for exports. This new factory will also provide employment to about 1,000 people.
This upcoming unit will be developed in two phases. The first phase will entail development of a facility, 2 lakh sq. feet in area, which is expected to be completed by September 2023.
As of now, the company has 30 manufacturing units in India, and this upcoming unit will be its 31st factory in the country.
