Schneider Electric Infra. Appoints Mr. Omkar Prasad as CFO

Mr. Omkar Prasad has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited. His tenure as the new CFO will start from 16th September, 2025. This information was shared by the company in its press release dated 28th August 2025.

Mr. Omkar Prasad completed B.Com from Calcutta University in 2003, and a Master’s degree in Economics from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He is also a certified Chartered Accountant (CA), and an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Bengaluru (IIMB).

Schneider Electric’s to-be-CFO started his career with Coats as Plant Controller in 2006 and was promoted to the company’s Finance Manager in 2011. Following this, Mr. Prasad joined Schneider Electric in 2013 as its Plant Controller and served the position till 2014. In 2015, he became Head of Accounting, Reporting & Consolidation at Schneider for a period of 4-years.

Since April 2019, Mr. Prasad has been serving as Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) for Schneider Electric, encompassing operations across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. In April 2023, he became Director (Finance) while continuing to serve as the company’s CAO.
