Saint Gobain Gets Approval for New Plant in Bhiwadi

French Major and one of the leading Glass manufacturers, Saint Gobain has got green-signal from Rajasthan Government on its proposal of investing Rs. 1,200 crore in the state, over video conferencing held on 28th May 2021.

As mentioned by B Santhanam, Chairman, Saint-Gobain Group in the meeting, Saint-Gobain will invest in a new float glass plant at its World Glass complex in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. He also mentioned that the new investment would help in producing advanced and value-added products, which will be used towards growing construction and automotive markets in India.

Over the video conference, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot assured of providing the best cooperative environment and support for proposed and future investments in the state.

India commercial glass market is anticipated to witness significant opportunities and is estimated to grow at a CAGR of around 12% over the forecast period i.e. 2019-2027‘ as stated in the report of Research Nester.

Saint Gonain’s Chennai World Glass Complex is spread over 177-acre and comprises 3 float glass lines, 2 advanced Magnetron Coater Lines delivering high performance, energy-efficient glass to the building industry and automotive processing lines.

Saint Gobain manufactures and markets solar control glass, fire-resistant glass, and various other types of float glasses in India.
