SAEL Industries Wins Order to Supply Solar Modules to NTPC REL

SAEL Industries Limited has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SAEL Solar P6 Pvt. Ltd., has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL) for supplying solar power modules. The modules will be supplied for NTPC REL’s 585.8 MWp solar project being developed in Mau tehsil of Chitrakoot district, Uttar Pradesh.

Under the contract, SAEL Solar P6 will manufacture and supply the required solar modules for the project. The Chitrakoot Solar Park is being developed in phases across approximately 3,600 acres of land. However, the company has not disclosed any other details regarding the order.

Earlier this month, SAEL Industries also held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 10 GW solar equipment manufacturing facility in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. The facility, being developed by SAEL Solar P6, involves an investment of Rs. 8,200 crore and is expected to strengthen the company’s manufacturing capabilities in the renewable energy sector.
