Jewar Airport Receives Support Agreement from UP Government

Upcoming Jewar International Airport has received ‘State Support Agreement’ from Uttar Pradesh Government to begin construction at site. The tripartite agreement was signed by Uttar Pradesh Government, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) and Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL).

Further Steps Towards Beginning of Construction of Jewar Airport
On receiving the state support agreement, YIAPL will be getting the Jewar Airport map approved by all agencies in order to start work. Airport Authority of India (AAI) and the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have already approved the map. Next, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) needs to give its approval. On receiving BCAS approval, YEIDA should approve the same in its board meeting. Following that approval NIAL shall provide approval through its board meeting. Thereafter YIAPL, the agency formed to develop and run the project, shall begin its work.
