Power Mech Projects Wins 1,000 Cr. Orders from Adani Power’s Subsidiaries

Power Mech Projects Limited, one of the leading infrastructure-construction companies based in Hyderabad, has announced that it has won two orders collectively worth Rs. 1,000 crore from subsidiaries of Adani Power Limited. These newly awarded contracts relate to the erection and commissioning of steam generators.
Power Mech’s Order for 1,600 MW Mirzapur Thermal Project
One of the orders won by Power Mech Projects is for Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Pvt. Ltd., Adani Power subsidiary incorporated in 2010. Scope of work in this order includes erection, testing, commissioning of steam generator and steam turbine generator for unit 1 and unit 2 of Mirzapur Phase-I Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project. The company will also be responsible for providing manpower assistance for performance guarantee test and supplying auxiliaries for this project.
The Power Mech Projects’ order value for this project is Rs. 515 crore with an execution period of 36 months.
Mirzapur Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project is being developed by Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Pvt. Ltd. at Dadri Khurd, Mirzapur. This project includes two thermal power units of 800 MW each and is designed to supply 1,500 MW of power to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for 25 years.
Power Mech’s Scope in Mohan Ph 3 Thermal Power Project
Another order won by Power Mech Projects is from Mahan Energen Limited. This order is for erection, testing, and commissioning of steam generator (SG) and steam turbine generator for Unit 1 and 2 of Mahan Phase- III Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project. Power Mech will also provide manpower assistance for performance guarantee test. Furthermore, the company will be supplying auxiliaries for the project.
The contract carries an order value of Rs. 490 crore and an execution period of 36 months.
Mahan Phase- III Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project is located in Bandhaura, Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh. The project includes two thermal power units of 800 MW each.
Adani Power’s Role in India’s Thermal Power Sector
According to a report dated 27th February 2026 by ICRA Limited, Adani Power is India’s largest private thermal power producer, with an operational capacity of 18.15 GW as of early 2026, representing about 7.3% of India’s total thermal capacity. The company’s thermal power projects are located in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.
Additionally, Adani Power is also in the process of developing a 2,400 MW Thermal Power Project in Bihar and 3,200 MW greenfield thermal power plant in Assam.
