Polycab’s Make-in-India Passive Networking Products to Have a Wider Reach
Passive Networking Products refer to those elements of a data network which perform a pre-decided function, and cannot be reprogrammed drastically to perform any other function through the data being transferred. These form the building blocks of any data network.
Polycab’s passive networking solutions comprise copper cables used for communication, Optical Fibre Cables (OFCs), Fibre-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) rods, Aramid-Reinforced Plastic (ARP) rods and Impregnated Glass Fibre Reinforcement (IGFR) Yarns.
With this partnership, Polycab will be taking advantage of Redington’s massive distribution network in India.
Polycab had rolled out its range of passive networking products in March 2021. The company’s move was directed towards supporting high-speed internet connectivity. Polycab’s move was strategic especially in the light of ongoing phased roll-out of 5G services in India.
