Paramount Communications to Invest Rs. 300 Cr. in New Cable Plant in MP

Paramount Communications Limited, a Delhi-based cable manufacturing company, will invest Rs. 300 crore to establish a new cable manufacturing plant in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The company’s management shared this information during its FY26 earnings call.

The company first announced the development of this facility in May 2025.

New Plant to Manufacture EHV and Specialised Cable Products

At its upcoming plant in Madhya Pradesh, the company will manufacture a wide range of cable products, including Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables with capacities of up to 132 KV, as well as specialised conductors and cables for the transmission sector. In addition, the facility will produce elastomeric E-Beam cables and EPR (lead-sheathed rubber) cables.

Paramount Communications has been allotted 31 acres of land by the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation for the development of the new plant.

The investment for the upcoming facility will be funded through a combination of equity, internal accruals, and debt. Out of the total project cost of Rs. 300 crore, Rs. 122 crore will be financed through equity, while the remaining amount will be funded through internal accruals and debt.

Paramount Communications’ Expansion Planned in Multiple Phases

The company is developing the new plant in phases, with the announced Rs. 300 crore investment earmarked for the first phase of the project. In the second phase, Paramount Communications plans to invest an additional Rs. 200 crore to Rs. 300 crore.

Partial operations from Phase 1 of the plant are expected to commence by the first quarter of FY28. However, the company has not specified the completion timeline for the second phase.

MP Cable Facility to Support Paramount’s Rs. 5,000 Cr. Revenue Target

According to Paramount Communications, the upcoming Madhya Pradesh plant will play a significant role in helping the company achieve its revenue target of Rs. 5,000 crore by FY31.

During the FY26 earnings call, the company’s management stated that it is targeting revenue of approximately Rs. 500 crore from the Madhya Pradesh facility in FY28. This figure is expected to increase to around Rs. 1,200 crore in FY29 as operations scale up.

During FY26, the company reported revenue of Rs. 1,913.35 crore and profit of Rs. 59.75 crore.

Ongoing Investments in Paramount’s Existing Manufacturing Facilities

Apart from the development of the new cable manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh, Paramount Communications is also continuing to invest in its existing manufacturing plants. The company is spending around Rs. 50–55 crore annually on capacity enhancement and infrastructure development at its facilities in Dharuhera, Haryana, and Kushkhera, Rajasthan.

The Dharuhera plant primarily manufactures jelly-filled telecom cables, optical fibre cables, and power cables. Meanwhile, the Kushkhera facility produces a broad portfolio of products, including HT and LT XLPE power cables, fibre optic cables, solar cables, railway signalling cables, and lead-free building wires.
