Okinawa Autotech Opens Second Plant in India

India’s second-largest electric two-wheeler maker, Okinawa Autotech on 15th February 2022 said it has commenced operations at its second manufacturing unit located in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

The company targets to manufacture close to 3 lakh electric vehicles per year at the new plant, which will eventually be increased to a capacity of 1 million or 10 lakhs in the next two-three years. The new manufacturing facility will also employ over 250 people.

The company’s Alwar plant has an annual capacity of 1,80,000 units. The company has over 400 centres catering to metros as well as tier 2, 3 and rural markets.
