NTPC Renewable Energy Invites Bids for BoS Works for 500 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

NTPC’s Renewable Energy (RE) arm, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL), has invited bids for Balance of System (BoS) works for an upcoming 500 MW solar power project in Bhadla, Rajasthan. This project will be connected to the State Transmission Utility (STU) grid.

NTPC REL’s tender includes designing, engineering, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning of solar power plant at Bhadla. However, securing land and supplying solar modules is not included in the winning bidder’s scope of work. The successful bidder will be responsible for laying transmission lines connecting the solar plant to nearest STU substation. Additionally, project scope entails site preparation, which includes conducting geo-technical investigations and topographical survey of the project area.

Further, the successful bidder will design and construct foundation for the project and install Single Axis Tracker-based module mounting structure for solar modules. Furthermore, all associated electrical and civil works required for interfacing with grid are included, and will be carried out by the winning bidder. This includes installation of transformers, panels, and metering equipment at the 33 KV level.
