NHPC Signs MoU with RITES to Construct Railway Siding for Dibang Project

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) for the construction of railway siding for Dibang multi-purpose project in Arunachal Pradesh. This information was shared in a PIB release dated 21st August 2023.

Railway siding will be built to provide connectivity to NHPC’s 2,880 MW Dibang project at Pasighat. RITES will provide solutions for developing rail infrastructure facilities for NHPC Dibang in Arunachal Pradesh.

Earlier, in March 2023, NHPC secured approval for Rs.31,876 crore investment for Dibang project.
