NHAI Floats 984 Cr. Tender for Development of 4-Lane Highway in West Bengal

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has floated a tender for the development of a 4-lane highway in West Bengal. The estimated cost for development of this project is Rs. 984.86 crore.

Scope of work under this tender includes the construction of a four-lane highway of 41 Km length from Kharagpur to Chandrakona-Ghatal road crossing section in West Bengal. This section will be developed under Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).*

Last date to submit bids for this project is 25th October 2023.

*Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) refers to a mode of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) wherein the government and the private player share the project expenses in a 40:60 ratio respectively. After the private player develops the project, it is handed over to the government. The government pays a fixed annuity to the private player for a certain amount of time as defined in the contract.
